North Carolina Wreckfish AKA North Carolina Stone Bass! These fish are monsters averaging 30-50# whole. Wreckfish are deep-water fish that are found on the ocean bottom at depths between 130 to 2,000 ft, where they inhabit caves and shipwrecks (hence their name). The diet of Wreckfish consists mainly of large ocean cephalopods, crustaceans, and other bottom-dwelling species. Wreckfish fillets carry a beautiful snow white meat with high fat content and buttery rich flavor. These giant beauties will not last so be sure to call early.
