Bevans Oyster Company is located in historic Westmoreland County Virginia, a rural Community nestled between the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers, both tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. The company opened for business on October 1, 1966 by founders Ronald and Shirley Bevans and since that time the “Bevans Brand” oyster has become well known across the United States.

Harvest Location: Upper western shore, Chesapeake Bay
Flavor Profile: Fed by the Sweetwater of the Potomac River and its estuaries as well as the headwaters of the Rappahannock River, these oysters have only the slightest hint of saltiness and a slight sweetness. They're creamy and meaty enough though to be wonderful when fried
