Description
Oysters
Naked Roy’s Beach
Source: Chef’s Resource
Naked Roy’s Oysters are cultivated by the long line suspension technique in the waters of Samish Bay in North Puget Sound, which tends to produce oysters with a higher brininess than oysters from South Puget Sound. Naked Roy’s have a rich, fruity flavor with hints of rhubarb and a medium brininess.
Naked Roy was a fellow who gained a reputation for staking out his own area of beach on Samish Bay and perfecting his full-body tan. The area is south of a Bellingham beach which for years was known as a nudist beach.
