Oysters
Stingray
Source: Chef’s Resource
Stingray Oysters are one of the oyster appellations from the Chesapeake Bay region off the Maryland and Virginia coasts. They are an aquaculture off-bottom rack & bag raised oyster in Mobjack Bay which provides them with the rich nutrients and mild salinity which gives them the reputation of being the quintessential Chesapeake Bay oyster. Stringray oysters are named after their chief predator, but the rack & bag cultivation method protects them.
